A Unique Blend of Geometry and Functionality

Squadra stands out as a modern credenza, offering both style and functionality. It features two lateral hinged doors with internal adjustable shelves, as well as two central deep drawers, all equipped with soft-closing slides. The design allows for efficient and well-organized storage, making it a perfect addition to any living or dining room.

Constructed with a solid wooden structure, Squadra is reinforced in all structural areas. The rich veneer panels of sawed oak and black stained ash give it a sophisticated and elegant appearance. The dimensions of the credenza are 220 mm x 60 mm x 75 mm, making it a versatile piece that can fit seamlessly into various spaces.

Developed and produced in 2014 for a private project in Mexico, Squadra was initially intended to be an entertainment cabinet for a lounge area. Since then, it has evolved into a versatile piece of indoor furniture that combines modern design with practicality.

During the development process, two main challenges were overcome. The woodworking at the intersection points required careful craftsmanship to ensure a seamless and visually appealing finish. Additionally, a solid wood inner structure was designed to provide the necessary support for the cabinet, ensuring its durability and longevity.

Valeriano Villegas Goyos, the designer behind Squadra, aimed to create a piece that not only offers storage solutions but also adds a touch of modern elegance to any space. With its clean lines and unique combination of wood species, Squadra is a testament to the designer's commitment to both form and function.

Squadra has received recognition for its exceptional design. In 2017, it was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in the Furniture Design category.
